About the community:
Known as “The Village by the Sea,” the city of Carlsbad has 105,000 residents and offers a family-friendly small town atmosphere with the conveniences of a large city. Streets are lined with antique stores, boutique shops, and sidewalk cafes, and of course there are miles of clean, uncrowded beaches for swimming, sunbathing and surfing as well as flower gardens, beautiful lagoons and nature trails.
This is Habitat’s first and only development in Carlsbad to date. We were approached by the City to complete a project that a for-profit developer was unable to complete. Now there are 11 more affordable homes in the city – they even have ocean views!
