You’re bound to find one that keeps you coming back year after year!

You can join us on a build site year round, but we we also host several special events that allow us to engage with you in a new way and that help us continue to build safe, affordable homes in San Diego. Join us, and you’ll work alongside future Habitat homeowners, learn new skills, meet new people, and help make our community an even better place to live.

Veterans Build 2023

This fall, join us as we raise hammers — and funds — to support Habitat’s VetRepair and affordable homebuilding programs. All event proceeds directly support the construction and preservation of homes throughout San Diego County.

United by the notion that we are more similar than we are different, Unity Build is aimed at engaging members of communities of all faiths to create opportunities for safe, stable, and decent places to call home.

AMPLIFYING FEMALE ACTION

One of our favorite and most popular events invites women (and men!) from all walks of life to spend a unique day on a Habitat construction site and raise funds to help build homes.

Global Village

TRAVELING WITH PURPOSE

Habitat may build around the corner from you, but we also work around the world! The Global Village program allows you to travel the world and build homes alongside people in desperate need of shelter.

Ever seen a house built from the ground up in five days? We have, and it’s awesome. The Home Builders Blitz brings together generous local homebuilders in pursuit of a common goal. Together, we accomplish the unimaginable.

Building Industry Challenge

PUTTING YOUR SKILLS TO THE TEST

This is not the same old networking event. Members of the local building industry strut their stuff and compete for bragging rights in challenges like The Sledgehammer Hold and The Nail Driver.

Veterans Build

HONORING THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED

Veterans understand the true meaning of service and play a key role in shaping our communities. This event provides an opportunity for veterans to help fellow veterans in need of improved housing, and something special always happens.

Corporate Partner Summit

CREATING SOLUTIONS TOGETHER

An exclusive benefit for our corporate partners, this annual event is an opportunity for like-minded companies to discuss how we can creatively provide stable, affordable housing solutions for San Diego’s workforce.

BuildOUT

BUILDING WITH PRIDE

Rallying around our shared values of volunteerism and sustainability, BuildOUT brings together San Diego Pride volunteers from the LGBTQ community to address the critical need for affordable housing.
