Peter, a wounded veteran with a 100% disability rating, has lived in his current rental for the past three years. Peter served in the Navy from 1976-1980 and was awarded various awards, medals, and ribbons. Peter currently rents a room in a home in Lakeside. He lives with four other people. Though he is grateful to have a roof over his head, it would mean so much to Peter to be able to have his own place. Having his own home would also provide Peter with a peaceful living environment. Peter is excited to begin his sweat equity hours. He will be a great help in the office and also out in the community sharing about Habitat and encouraging fellow veterans to apply for homeownership.
