At Comm22 in Logan Heights, construction superintendents Dale, Jaime, and Leonard have been leading a physically-distanced team of Regulars and AmeriCorps members to move the build forward. The siding is close to being completely installed and caulked. Then we will begin exterior painting with the goal of removing the scaffolding and finishing the exterior. On the interior, the drywallers have made great progress — texture will be applied later this week, with door and cabinet installation to follow.

We broke ground at Leucadia in Encinitas in early March, and are pleased to report that work continues with construction superintendent Rick and a small group of Regulars. On Lot A, all exterior and interior walls have been raised. Sheathing and shear panel installation has begun. As this home is one story, trusses have been ordered. On Lot B, utility work is underway, and framing will begin shortly.

Our newest project in National City is moving along, and we are working to prep the site in anticipation of final approval for building permits shortly. We will hold a virtual groundbreaking there in the coming weeks, so please stay tuned!
