Campaign for El Norte Parkway

Campaign for El Norte Parkway2024-02-01T14:42:49-08:00

Join us in building homes and hope in Escondido.

We are pleased to be building our newest affordable community in Escondido, providing homeownership opportunities for 10 local families. However, since Habitat began predevelopment work on our El Norte Parkway project in 2019, the cost to build has increased by 37% — approximately $2 million! This is a result of delays caused by COVID-19 and continually increasing costs of building materials and supplies.

Time is of the essence!

In order to comply with funding deadlines, we must begin to sell homes by January 2024 or risk losing significant subsidy. We know we can do it, but with this ambitious timeline, we must use more subcontractors than ever before.
