Give at work.

Employee giving

Direct paycheck contributions
Many workplaces make it simple for employees to make one-time or ongoing donations directly through their paycheck. Ask your employer if your organization has a paycheck giving option.

Workplace giving campaigns
If your workplace participates in giving campaigns, you may be able to choose San Diego Habitat to receive your donation. Here are giving campaigns that allow you to designate San Diego Habitat as the recipient of your contribution:

  • Benevity
  • United Way
  • YourCause
  • Federal, state, and local government employee campaigns

Make your gift go even further.

Corporate matching

Matching donations
Does your employer match charitable contributions made by employees? Many do! With a matching gift, your donation to Habitat might be doubled or even tripled in value. Gifts of stock are also eligible — just like any cash or credit card donation. This kind of employer match maximizes the impact you can have, making your donation go even further.

Matching volunteer hours
Have you volunteered with San Diego Habitat recently? Your employer may choose to reward your community involvement by making a corporate donation based on the time you’ve invested with us. Ask your employer if they match volunteer hours. If they do, you’ll double your impact by swinging a hammer and funding the work being done onsite. Visit our volunteer page to learn more about how to get involved as an individual or a team.

Ask your human resources department today about what opportunities you have for workplace giving!

Here’s some more helpful info to get you started.

Matching gifts are donations made by your employer to a non-profit organization to match either a donation you made or time spent volunteering with that organization. Even retirees and spouses may have their gifts matched for many companies.

An employer matching gift doesn’t require more money or volunteer time from you; it’s just tapping into money that’s already offered by your employer. With minimal effort, you can double the impact your contribution makes at San Diego Habitat. It’s easy and costs nothing!

Each company will have a process for matching gifts and/or volunteer hours. Talk to your human resources department today to learn more about your company’s specific process.

Each company has a different process for matching gifts and/or volunteer hours, but here is some information you might need:
