Pickup Restrictions
Due to liability, we are unable retrieve items from up or down stairs. To ensure safety of our staff and volunteers, acceptance/refusal of any donation is at the final discretion of the driver.
Refusal Policies
We regret that we cannot accept all donations, and ReStore staff reserves the right to refuse items based on product condition or storage limitations. We recommend contacting (619) 241-2221 or dispatch@sandiegohabitat.org to make sure we can accept your item before dropping it off.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept the following items:
books, magazines, games, toys
some housewares, like dishes and linens
apparel, including shoes, jewelry, baby clothing
electronic items, such as non-flat screen TVs, computers, monitors, CD/DVD players
hazardous materials, such as opened paint, thinner, stain, chemicals
broken or damaged items
mattresses, including box springs, futons, sofa beds
- some lighting, such as track lighting, CFL or halogen bulbs, fluorescent bulbs
