About the community:
El Cajon, the sixth largest city in San Diego County, is recognized for its diverse and vibrant community, safe and attractive neighborhoods, many parks and recreation centers, and award-winning schools and libraries. It is home to both global and internationally-known corporations and has an energetic downtown district with shops and restaurants the entire family can enjoy.
The City of El Cajon donated the site, as well as two new manufactured homes to make this community possible. Habitat performed upgrades on the existing homes and built a third from the ground up, supported by a full home sponsorship by Thrivent Financial.
