San Diego Habitat for Humanity to Receive $200,000 From Bank of America to Help Tackle Affordable Housing Challenges Across the Region
Financial contribution and employee volunteers advance the nonprofit’s mission of providing affordable homeownership opportunities

Escondido, CA — On October 28, 2023, Bank of America will present San Diego Habitat for Humanity with a financial contribution in the amount of $200,000 as part of its Neighborhood Builders program.

As the only nonprofit in the San Diego region building and selling homes exclusively for buyers earning low incomes, as a developer, general contractor and mortgage lender, San Diego Habitat is one of two nonprofits selected by Bank of America as a 2023 Neighborhood Builders® awardee.

The grant announcement coincides with San Diego Habitat’s volunteer build day, which will bring together over 20 Bank of America volunteers, to perform construction work on 10 homes in Escondido, California. San Diego Habitat broke ground on this construction site in May 2022 and is proud to partner with Bank of America in these efforts to help achieve housing stability for families throughout San Diego County.
