MEDIA ADVISORY
Habitat for Humanity and Realty Income Build Homes for San Diego Families
Major donation and volunteer effort will build better life stories

WHAT: San Diego Habitat for Humanity is pleased to announce its continued partnership with Realty Income Corporation (Realty Income, NYSE: O). A donation of $100,000 and the hard work of 120 employee volunteers will help build homes and better life stories for local hardworking families in need of improved housing. Since the inception of the partnership five years ago, Realty Income has donated $525,000 and over 3,400 volunteer hours in support of Habitat’s programs.

Realty Income is one of only five S&P 500 companies headquartered in San Diego. It believes contributing to its communities is an extension of its mission to improve the lives of its shareholders, its employees, and their families.

This effort is part of the company’s Corporate Responsibility Program, which reflects the strong commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen by taking an active role in the betterment of the communities in which its employees and shareholders live and work. On Wednesday, October 2, Realty Income volunteers will be working at Habitat’s newest affordable housing community in Logan Heights. There’s lots of work to do — they will be framing, installing plywood shear panels, building fences, installing siding, painting, and digging irrigation trenches.

The Habitat community, which offers 11 homes for ownership, features three and four-bedroom homes with two-car garages, private yards, energy-efficient appliances, drought tolerant landscaping, and sustainable building materials.
