Habitat for Humanity and Bank of America Kick Off Global Build Week with Progress on New 11-Home Logan Heights Neighborhood

WHAT: As part of Global Build Week, San Diego Habitat for Humanity will work alongside Bank of America employees in Logan Heights to build 11 new affordable homes for low income working families.  The homes are part of the Comm22 community currently under construction and will be completed in 2019.

Everyone in our community deserves a healthy, safe, affordable home.  Habitat for Humanity provides affordable housing solutions, including new construction and home repair, to local families in need of improved housing.

In addition to employee volunteers, Bank of America will present a $20,000 community development grant award to Habitat for Humanity San Diego to commemorate the fifth Global Build, a week-long event that engages Habitat for Humanity affiliates around the world with Bank of America employees to help build affordable homes and revitalize communities across the globe. This year, Bank of America and Habitat will work in 90 communities across six countries, helping homeowners and families build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.
