Volunteer Ambassadors serve as liaisons between San Diego Habitat for Humanity and the greater San Diego community to promote the Habitat mission to donors, volunteers, future homeowners, and other potential supporters. By hosting fundraising events, participating in community outreach, and promoting the organization via word of mouth, events, and social media, Ambassadors will raise awareness of the need for affordable housing in San Diego and the many ways that people can get involved in creating solutions that work - ultimately helping to build and repair safe, affordable homes for low-income families in San Diego.
Whether your strengths are speaking, interpersonal relations, fundraising, or using a hammer, San Diego Habitat can use your talents.
Ambassadors will receive training in the history, mission, and practices of San Diego Habitat and will have the opportunity to support San Diego Habitat through many different means. Ambassadors may participate in build activity if interested and space is available, work in any of the ReStores, assist with special events, plan and support fundraising activities, host a table at service fairs/expos, and recruit new Ambassadors.
