4/27/2017 - 105 Year-Old Pearl Harbor Veteran Receives Upgrades to His Home

San Diego Habitat for Humanity will provide upgrades to the home of Ray Chavez, who, at 105 years young, is the oldest living Pearl Harbor veteran. His daughter, Kathleen, is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1974 until 1990. She was the Navy’s first female jet mechanic, working on the F-14 Tomcats beginning in 1974. She owns the home that her father lives in.
