Mohammed, his wife Halima, and their three children Mubark (14), Muaz (9), and Munira (7) currently live in a two-bedroom apartment in Linda Vista.  The boys are sharing a room, while Munira sleeps with her parents in their small bedroom.

Both parents work very hard to provide for their children. Mohammed has worked in the billing department at Scripps for the past six years.  In the past, he has also worked part time as a taxi driver to bring in enough money to support his family.  Halima has worked at Walmart as a sales associate for the past eight years.  They are doing everything right – they have no debt and are financially responsible. But, like so many hardworking San Diegans, their combined income just isn’t enough to purchase a home of their own without a hand up.

This family is looking forward to owning their very own simple, decent, and safe home in Escondido.
